Title One Parent Involvement Plan (pdf)
Partners in Learning Compact (pdf)
School Wide Improvement Plan (pdf)
Title I is a federally funded program that allows students to receive extra help in the areas of reading and/or math.
Title I teachers and teaching assistants offer extra support for reading and math concepts taught in the classroom.
The math support is often provided in the classroom through a teaching assistant. Reading will be done mostly through pull-out groups.
The children are grouped based on reading level and skills needed. The students will be monitored approximately every 6-8 weeks. This will allow us to continually change the groups of students so we can always be providing extra instruction to those children that need it most.
The instruction in the small group is in addition to what they receive in their classroom with their teacher and classmates.
Therefore we anticipate many students making the progress they need to be able to work in their classroom without the extra support, as the goal of the program is to teach students the necessary skills for success in the classroom.

What is Title One at Brimhall?
Your child has the unique opportunity to be a part of a small learning group through Title I.
Title One services at Brimhall are provided to students daily for 30 - 45 minutes. We work on Reading and Math skills similar to those they are learning in their classroom.
We send home monthly newsletters. Students have the opportunity to checkout books from our library to read at home with an adult.
What can I do with my
child at home? Parents often ask what they can do to help their student. Here are a few ideas.
Have a place for them to do their homework and set aside time each night for completing homework.
Spend time each night reading to or with your child
Practice things like spelling words and math facts daily in short amounts of time.
Talk with your child about school each night.
If your child seems confused about assignments, let the teacher know.
