Jump Start to Kindergarten is an extension of Roseville Area School's school age child care program, Friendship Connection. The program is open to children who are 4 or 5 years old and one year away from kindergarten. This fee based, year before kindergarten program is designed to let your pre-kindergartner experience the joys of learning. The program focuses on children's emotional, social, physical and intellectual growth that is developmentally appropriate for 4 year olds. Curriculum and activities follow the MN Department of Education's Early Learning Standards and are taught by teachers licensed in early childhood. All students must be enrolled for all 5 days, Monday-Friday.

Jump Start to Kindergarten has full day programs located at Brimhall Elementary School and Emmet D. Williams Elementary School, operating Monday-Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. The program fee ($47/day) includes our pre-school component (9:30 am - 4:00 pm), before and after school child care, breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.

A morning-only program is located Brimhall Elementary School, Monday-Friday from 9:30 am to noon. The fee for the morning program is $14.90/day.

To enroll, children must be 4 years old by September 1 and be one year away from kindergarten

Handbook for Families: All families are required to agree to policies in the Handbook for Families when registering.

Limited transportation is available for participants living in the attendance area of their Jump Start site. For more information, call 651-604-3511.

Registration Process:

Registration for the 2013-14 school year begins on March 18. You can register online or complete a paper registration contract. All families need to complete the Child Information Form in order to complete their registration and reserve their spot in the program. If you register online, this form must be submitted to us within 7 days of registration. Other forms need to be completed prior to starting the program. All required forms can be downloaded below.
