Building Initiatives




 

Building Initiatives

 

Each school receives integration revenue for diversity initiatives in the following four areas:

  1. Intercultural Competence Initiatives will provide professional development for ALL staff, focusing on developmental growth on the DMIS (Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity).
    Examples of Building Initiatives in the Schools
  1. District Endorsed Research-Based Initiatives are research-based programs that focus on intercultural teaching and learning strategies that have been approved for ISD 623 Board Credit.
  1. Family/Community Outreach Initiatives provide the necessary support and services to enable all students and families equal access to our schools with a focus on providing communities the opportunity for increased interracial interaction.

  1. Student Programming Initiatives provide the opportunity for staff to develop and implement strategies that enable all students to learn in a culturally inclusive learning environment.

 

Integrating Building Goals and Allocations
SMART Goals are individual building goals addressing equity initiatives in our schools. VisionCards are part of the District's strategic planning
