Through Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Services, students who are identified with outstanding abilities are provided services and programming to meet their unique needs.

We use a variety of frameworks, curricula, and competitions to support what high ability and gifted/talented students need to be challenged and successful in school. As part of its framework, GATE Services has comprehensive early entrance and grade promotion procedures.

Roseville Area Schools has a comprehensive Early Entrance and Grade Promotion Process and Procedure. You can view the District 623 Acceleration Policy here.

*** Periodically, we offer sessions regarding the GATE Program and sessions about parenting gifted children topics. Information on these sessions will be communicated through the GATE Listserv, school newsletters or web sites.

On May 20, 2014 a GATE Information Session was held to introduce families of newly identified gifted and high ability students to Roseville’s GATE program. An overview of gifted children, identification procedures and services provides were reviewed. The presentation from the evening can be accessed here, as well as the handouts.
