Welcome New Teachers
to Roseville Area Schools, District 623.

Induction for Teachers New to Roseville

Our Program Goals:

  • To accelerate the instructional skills of new teachers
  • To facilitate socialization of new teachers into the philosophy and culture of the District and school
  • To promote professional and personal well-being of new teachers
  • To increase the retention of new teachers
  • To promote professional, positive attitudes toward teaching

The importance of providing support, guidance, and the encouragement of personal and professional growth to our new teachers is mutually recognized and valued by teachers, district administration and EM-R. All have a strong commitment to support the program.

Each new teacher is assigned a mentor. Mentors are experienced teachers who remain in their regular teaching assignments while working with probationary teachers called "mentees."

The New Teacher Brochure explains our program in more detail.
