E. D. WILLIAMS ELEMENTARY IS LOOKING FOR READING AND MATH CORPS VOLUNTEERS
Literacy Tutor for Grades k-3 for the 2013-14 School Year
Math Tutors for Grades 4-6 for the 2013-14 School Year
Experience life-changing growth: Become a tutor with either Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps.
Minnesota Reading Corps--the nation's largest state AmeriCorps program--is looking for 1 Literacy Tutor for E. D. Williams Elementary. Elementary Literacy Tutors not only change the world of children who are struggling in school, they grow their own professional skills and
network. Literacy Tutors help kids become successful readers by the end of third grade by implementing research-based literacy strategies. As a tutor, you will earn about $500 biweekly living allowance (for full-time) and an education award of up to $5,500 (for full-time) to further your own education. Minnesota Math Corps--a sister program to Minnesota Reading Corps--is looking for 2 part-time Math Tutors for E. D. Williams Elementary to help students become proficient in algebra by the end of eighth grade. Math Tutors earn $250 biweekly living allowance (for part-time) and an education award of up to $2,775 (for part-time) to further your own education.
