Background
Over the next eighteen months the Educational Planning Advisory Committee, a cross-section of community members, will be working together to provide me with recommendations concerning the future of Roseville Area Schools. Their planning will be based on sound educational practices that promote high academic achievement and wise resource management.
The Educational Planning Advisory Committee will examine:
* Current educational standards and strategies that will prepare all members of District 623 to be academically successful;
* The need for repairs and upgrades to district facilities in order to ensure greatest educational effectiveness;
* The possibility of cooperative educational opportunities and ventures;
* The most current projections to assist the district in preparing for the change in community demographics;
* Current best instructional practices and curriculum that will support high academic achievement;
* Methods and ideas for increasing and promoting community involvement in Roseville Area Schools;
* Current fiscal status and projected fiscal needs of Roseville Area Schools, and previous district planning efforts.
