Location: Falcon Heights is a first-ring suburb to the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Our school is one of seven elementary schools within the Roseville School District. The student population within the district is approximately 6,500.
SCHOOL GOALS for 2009-2010
- Through the development and implementation of systemic strategies, the percent of students making one year's growth in reading in 2009-10 will increase by at least 2 percentage points from test data gathered in spring of 2009. One year's growth will be measured by the difference between the fall and spring MAP tests in grades 2 through 6. Grades K and 1 will implement their own assessments to mirror this goal.
- Increase the time in the classroom by 10% from fall to spring, for students
exhibiting behavior challenges, as measured by time spent outside the classroom
(i.e. hallway, buddy teacher room, STAR Room, office, suspension, etc.).
