Enrollment Information

New Student Enrollment

Welcome to Roseville Area Schools, a learning community committed to creating pathways to academic success for every student. We aim to provide a learning environment where students feel safe, respected, confident, and capable of excelling.

New student enrollment is done centrally at the District Center. If you live within the district’s boundaries, please call us at 651-635-1626 to schedule an intake appointment. Office hours are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Let us know if these hours don’t work for you. We will schedule appointments outside of regular office hours, if requested.

Please bring as many of the following documents as possible to the intake meeting:

  • Your child’s birth certificate or another form of government-issued proof of age and date of birth
  • Immunization records
  • Records from previous schools, including transcripts if your child has attended secondary school
  •  Proof of Residence - This can be a driver’s license, utility bill, or lease/purchase agreement with parent/guardian name and the Roseville School District address on it

You can complete the enrollment forms before the intake appointment. However, you don’t have to. There will be time to complete them, as well as additional forms, when we meet.

Registering for Classes

Registering for classes in grades 7-12 is not part of the new student enrollment process. New families with students in these grades will be directed to see a counselor about class registration once the enrollment process is complete.

Enrollment Lotteries

Due to their unique programming, four of our schools use lotteries in their enrollment process. They are: Parkview Center School (K-8), Dual Language Immersion Program (Spanish Immersion located at Little Canada Elementary), Harambee (year-round, K-6, magnet school, transportation provided in selected east metro counties), and SPARK Program at Central Park (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) based learning opportunities).

The lottery has closed for the school year of 2016-2017. Lottery information for the school year of 2017-2018 will be available November 1, 2016. For questions or more information please contact Central Enrollment. Contact information is provided below.

The lottery drawing will take place on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 4:00 pm, and is open to the public.  Your attendance at the drawings is not required.  Families will be notified of the lottery results by US mail by Friday, February 12, 2016.

General Information

All schools will offer sibling preference in placement. This means that siblings of current students will be placed into the school/program before the lottery drawing. Siblings are still required to complete a lottery application and return the application by the January 29, 2016, deadline.

Homeschooling

If you are interested in homeschooling your child, please contact Chrissy Rehnberg at 651-635-1622 or chrissy.rehnberg@isd623.org. Home educated students may earn a diploma from Roseville Area High School if they are enrolled at least part time during their senior year of high school. Non-Public Transfer to RAHS

Representatives from Roseville Area High School will be visiting all the K-8 non-public schools within the district in November/December to share information about attending Roseville Area High School (RAHS). RAHS also offers tours for interested students and their parents or guardians. If you are currently attending a non-public school, but plan to enroll at Roseville Area Schools please click here to complete the Non-Public Transfer Information.  Our Central Enrollment Office will then contact you about the enrollment process.
