Parkview Center School has procedures designed to allow equitable access for enrolling at PCS.
An annual enrollment application timeline, followed by a lottery drawing, governs access to Parkview Center School.
Applications are no longer being accepted for 2012-13. A lottery drawing will take place in mid-February and you will be notified by mail if your child is or is not accepted. If you have any further questions, please call our Central Enrollment Office at 651-635-1626.

History
Parkview moved from a waiiting list system to a lottery system in 2010. Much time and energy was spent making decisions around enrollment practices at Parkview. The PCS Site Council shared research on open schools and discussed the pros and cons of many systems. As a result of their work, the PCS Site Council recommended a move to establish a more equitable enrollment process - the lottery system.
It is very important to ensure that PCS practices and procedures align with the District and Building Equity Vision (see below). Parkview Center School is committed to ensuring an equitable and respectful educational experience for every student, family and staff member regardless of: Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Socioeconomic Status, Ability, Home or First Language, Religion, National Origin, Age, or Physical Appearance.
Lottery drawings are held for openings at Parkview for students new to the school. Openings will continue to exist for families with older siblings already enrolled at PCS in grades K-8. Sibling preference allows families to automatically enroll at PCS if they choose to do so on a family basis. Sibling preference is present in all elementary buildings in Roseville Area Schools.
Lottery Process: If you are interested in applying for the lottery drawing you will need to do so the year prior to the grade your student would like to attend Parkview. Applications are accepted from November 1st through the first Friday in February.
EXAMPLE: Your student would like to attend First Grade at Parkview beginning in the fall of 2012. Applications will be accepted from November 1, 2011 through the first Friday in February, 2012 (February 3, 2012).
