English Language Learners

Roseville Area Schools provides services for many students who speak a primary language other than English in their home. The district also serves students who are immigrants from approximately 40 countries.

In order to meet the needs of students who require support in language acquisition and fluency, the District employs teachers licensed in the area of English as a Second Language and teacher assistants with special training. Services include:

    • Evaluations,
    • Direct instruction in small groups,
    • Consultation with other teachers,
    • Alternative testing, and
    • Monitoring of progress.
