Accessibility Statement

General Commitment

Roseville Area Schools (Independent School District 623) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all community members, including students, parents, staff, and visitors with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure equal access to all our programs, services, and activities.

Conformance Status & Transition Plan

We are executing a comprehensive transition plan to ensure our digital content—including this website and our digital documents—aligns with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

This work is part of our preparation to meet the U.S. Department of Justice’s technical standards under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by the April 24, 2026 deadline.

Recent Improvements & Ongoing Work

We have taken significant steps to address technical barriers and improve the usability of our site. Recent work includes:

  • CMS & Technical Remediation: In partnership with our website host, Finalsite, we have addressed core template issues, cleaned up empty site elements, and corrected document structures to ensure better compatibility with screen readers.
  • Content Standards: We have enforced new requirements for content editors, including mandatory alternative text (alt text) for images and proper heading structures for new pages.
  • Retroactive Fixes: We are reviewing existing media and documents to add missing alt text and improve tag structures on older content.

Mobile Access

While we do not maintain a separate mobile application, our website is fully mobile-responsive. This ensures that users accessing our content via phones and tablets have an accessible experience that meets the same high standards as our desktop site.

Third-Party Platforms

Roseville Area Schools uses various third-party digital platforms for essential services such as grade reporting, payments, and communications. We have contacted our key vendors—including PowerSchool, Frontline, Eleyo, and Follett—to request documentation of their compliance efforts.

We are working with these partners to ensure their platforms align with the new Title II standards. Please note that while we advocate for accessibility on these platforms, some aspects of their code are outside our direct control.

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Roseville Area Schools website and value your input to help us improve. If you encounter accessibility barriers or need information in an alternative format (such as large print, Braille, or audio recording), please contact us:
