Governor Tim Walz has ordered that all schools to remain closed and distance learning began Monday, March 30. Distance learning will continue through at least May 4. All other activities and events are canceled through May 4. Information about your school's distance learning plan is available at isd623.org/covid19.

  • We are providing child care for elementary-age children of health care professionals, first responders, district educators and other emergency workers to ensure Minnesota’s first line of defense against COVID-19 can stay on the job.
  • School meals are a vital source of nutrition for many students, and we are providing free meals to any child 18 and under during this school closure.

Background Checks

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Roseville Area Schools. We value the time and talent of our volunteers! To get connected with volunteer opportunities in the Roseville Area School District, please directly contact the school or department where you would like to volunteer.

Background Checks

To ensure the safety of our students, we require criminal background checks on the following

  • Any volunteer who accompanies students off campus (e.g., chaperones for field trips).
  • Any volunteer who is responsible for working with students on campus, but not under the supervision of a licensed teacher.

If in doubt, complete a background check.

Volunteer background checks do not need to be done very year.  Volunteers only need to do the background check once and the results will follow all of their students through their Roseville Area Schools career.  To inquire whether you already have a cleared volunteer background check on file, please contact Alicia Miller in Human Resources at alicia.miller@isd623.org or 651-635-1611.

Information will be kept confidential.  Human Resources staff members will review the results of each background check.  If there are any concerns regarding the results of a background check, Human Resources will contact that individual directly within 24-48 hours after receiving results.  If you are not contact within 48 hours after filling submitting the background check form, you are clear to volunteer.

Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to maintain a safe and secure educational environment for our students.

Note: If you are a current employee of Roseville Area Schools, you are already cleared to work in the district.
