IMPORTANT:

  • We are providing child care for elementary-age children of health care professionals, first responders, district educators and other emergency workers to ensure Minnesota’s first line of defense against COVID-19 can stay on the job.
  • School meals are a vital source of nutrition for many students, and we are providing free meals to any child 18 and under during this school closure.

Calling 211 for Essential Services

Calling 211 for Essential Services

211: A Great Resource for You - Every hour of every day, someone in the United States needs essential services, from finding an after-school program to securing adequate care for a child or an aging parent. Faced with a dramatic increase in the number of agencies and help-lines, people often don't know where to turn. In many cases, people end up going without necessary services because they do not know where to start. 2-1-1, an easy to remember phone number, helps people find help.

In Minnesota, call 2-1-1 from any land line phone (cell phones: 651-291-0211) to find out about services for the Twin Cities, most of Minnesota, and other states. 2-1-1 is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
