Learning in a Dedicated Classroom Setting
Specialized, center-based programs provide special education services to students who need to spend the majority of their day in a dedicated classroom setting. Special education disability areas often served by a specialized program include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Delay (DCD), or Emotional/Behavioral Disorder (EBD).
Although students in these programs might have another primary disability, they have a need for special education outside the regular classroom for a majority of their day. They have an identified need for a special education, Federal Setting III classroom.
