Learning in a Center-based Classroom Setting

Federal setting III, district programs provide special education services to students who due to their related disability needs, require center-based classroom programming. For most students, they spend the majority of their day in a dedicated special education classroom setting, with specialized environments, structures, and instruction. Special education disability areas often served by a center-based program include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disability (DCD), or Emotional/Behavioral Disorder (EBD).

Although students in these programs might have another primary disability, they have a need for special education outside the regular classroom for a majority of their day.  They have an identified need for a special education, Federal Setting III classroom.
