Register for activities at the Athletic Office

Jazz Band – 8th Grade – (Ms. Hauser) Room 304.  Rehearsals will continue Tuesday mornings at 7:10 a.m.  Rehearse all styles of jazz.  Students must be in a regular music class during school in order to participate in this group.  This group provides an additional opportunity for current music students.  Students must also have participated in the winter session of Jazz Band to sign up for the spring session, because no new members will be accepted for the spring session.  Performance at RAMS in May.  Fee is $10.00.

Jazz Band – 7th Grade – (Ms. Hauser) Room 304 Thursdays starting March 15th at 7:10 a.m. to 7:55 a.m.  Rehearse for concert in mid-May.  Students must be in a regular music class during school in order to participate in this group.  This group provides an additional opportunity for current music students.  Students must also have participated in the winter session of Jazz Band to sign up for the spring session, because no new members will be accepted for the spring session.  Fee is $10.00.

 Chamber Orchestra – (Mr. Waller) Room 302.  Thursdays starting March 15th at 7:10 a.m.  Rehearse light classical and pop music.  Students must be in a regular music class during the school year in order to participate in this group.  This group provides an additional opportunity for current music students.  Students must also have participated in the winter session of Chamber Orchestra to sign up for the spring session, because no new members will be accepted for the spring session. Fee is $10.00.

Morning Choir – (Ms. Zender) Room 306.  Fridays starting March 16th at 7:00 a.m.  Students must be in a regular music class during the school year in order to participate in this group.  This group provides an additional opportunity for current music students.  Students also must have participated in the winter session of Morning Choir to sign up for the spring session, because no new members will be accepted for the spring session.  Fee is $10.00.

Fiddle Club – (Mr. Waller) Room 302.  Tuesdays starting March 13th at 7:10 a.m.  Want an orchestra experience that explores American, Celtic, and Jazz fiddle?  It will be a fun and relaxed group with just two concerts during the year.  Fee is $10.00. 

Unity Center – (Ms. Denison) Don’t forget to sign up for the Unity Center to have access to all sorts of activities and clubs!  See Ms. Denison in Room 223 next to the Media Center to join.  Everyone is welcome.

Hmong Writing – (Ms. Xiong) Room 200.  Wednesdays and Thursdays:  2:50-3:50 starting March 21st.  Come and learn how to write in Hmong.  The Hmong language is a tonal language.  For example:  MUAJ = have, MUAG = sell, MUAB = give, MUAM = sister.  The last letter in the word changes the tone and meaning of the word.  If you currently speak Hmong, the lessons will be easier for you, but if you don’t speak Hmong it may be harder but come and we will teach you!

RAMS Theatre Spring Musical – “Cyrano de BurgerShack” (Ms. Owen)

The spring musical, “Cyrano de BurgerShack” will hold auditions and crew sign-ups immediately after spring break.  This will be a joint RAMS and Parkview production.

AUDITION/CREW SIGN-UP DATES:
After school Monday, March 12 (in the band room @ RAMS) &
After school Tuesday, March 13 (in the RAMS Theatre)
            AUDITIONS:  sing 30 seconds of a song that shows off your voice.  We recommend singing something from a musical, Disney cartoon, or choir song and NOT a popular song from the radio.  You may also be asked to do a short dance that we will teach you.  Bring your iPad.
            CREW SIGN-UPS:  Students interested in participating in crew must come to one of the audition days to fill out a google form on their iPad.  Crew will be limited to 35 students.  If we have more than 35 students sign-up we will do a lottery for the 35 spots.
