The summer swim program held at Parkview is designed for swimmers who have some competitive swimming experience (like a member of a high school team, club, or YMCA team). The camp will focus mostly on maintaining a general level of swimming fitness, as well as developing more coordination and athleticism that will help swimmers improve their strokes. In a typical practice we will spend about 30-45 minutes doing strength training on land, then move to the pool for the remainder of practice to work on stroke technique and general cardiovascular conditioning for swimming. These sessions are a perfect opportunity for swimmers who want to begin the high school season in shape or to bridge the gap between spring and fall sports.
