Metro Transit's Assistance Program

You could be eligible! For more info, read on…

You may be eligible for $1 fares for all Metro Transit buses and light rail through Metro Transit’s Transit Assistance Program (TAP). Anyone in a household with a student receiving Free or Reduced Lunch is eligible to receive this reduced fare. This means that, if eligible, you, and anyone else who lives in your house, can likely get this pass.

If interested, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Make sure your parent/guardian has filled out the Free and Reduced Lunch Application for this year.  Here is the link: Application Link

Paper copies are also available in Spanish, Somali and Hmong if needed.

If you aren’t sure if you qualify or if you have filled one out, I can check on this.

  1. Connect with Ms. Loge and we will find a time to talk or Zoom so I can fill out the application for you and figure out how to get you the card! It is super easy and will take about 10 minutes. My email address is: or text me at 612-389-8775. You could also mention it to your HOMES teacher and they could help connect!
  2.  If you were at FAHS last year and your card has expired, connect with me and we will get you an updated one.
