Last month the school board approved a plan to offer a blended learning option for students in grades 7 – 12 beginning December 7, which is the start of the second trimester. We are aware that positive cases of COVID-19 in Ramsey County are on the rise, and it is entirely possible that the plan to transition to blended learning will be impacted by changing health conditions in our community. In the event that we are able to transition, we need to know how many students plan to opt-in to blended learning.
On Friday, Oct. 23, students in grades 7 – 12 registered to either transition to blended learning or to remain in distance learning for the second trimester. Registration was done via Schoology and students were be guided through the process by a teacher during one of their courses.
We encourage families to discuss with their students what option is best for your family. Please review the Blended and Distance Learning Handbook for Secondary Students for information about what the models will look like.
