CP Message from the Principal

Hello, Central Park Families,

I trust you have had a good start to the new year. I know we have seen some alarming images from our nation’s capital this past week. These events have been unsettling and have raised a lot of questions for our children. Teachers have talked openly about these current events with their students. These are challenging yet important conversations as our children will grow to be adults and future leaders. Differences is what makes us stronger if we are able to listen to understand.

As you know we are transitioning once again with an option for students to return to school in person. Distance learning continues to remain a consistent option for all families.

If families want to transition to in person learning please contact the school office or your child’s teacher by the end of the day on MONDAY, JANUARY 11.

These changes may bring about moves with teachers and some shifts with classes.

Beginning the last week in January, the asynchronous day (WED) will move to Fridays for all students. AFTER spring break students will not have an asynchronous day and both in person and distance learning will be 5 days a week.

Students who return in person will still be required to wear masks at school all day. We will maintain a distance of 3 feet in the classroom and we will minimize transitions during the day. All students will need to follow the health protocols, and parents will be asked to screen students prior to coming to school. Students will likely be sent home for symptoms of COVID-19.  We will maintain the guidelines for isolation and quarantine when necessary. All illnesses need to be reported to school for attendance and contact tracing (when necessary).

Thank you. Please reach out with any questions at 651-481-9951.
