Superintendent's Message

Looking Ahead

We’ve said it before and I know we will say it many, many times going forward — THANK YOU! We truly appreciate the overwhelming support expressed by our community on November 7. As we dig into the facilities-related work — selecting vendors, gathering committees, planning communications, establishing timelines, and more —we strive to be good stewards with community tax dollars. We know these projects represent a significant investment in our community and our schools.

Since Election Day, we have been busy hiring an engineering firm for the school district’s Long-Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) projects as well as a construction management firm and an architectural firm for the LTFM and bond projects. Please refer to page 11 for more information about these organizations. As we proceed through the design process, there will be meetings with staff and community members regarding work at each site. We’ve been working on planning how to phase the work so that we will get the most benefit for the money with which our community has entrusted us.

Before I close, I want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt “thank you” to former Roseville School Board member and chair Mark Traynor for his service on behalf of our community. Mark has been a dedicated, vocal proponent of our district and we are fortunate to have had him serving on our school board. I wish Mark all the best in his future endeavors and hope to see him in the audience at a future school board meeting!

Sincerely,
