On January 16, Roseville Area Middle School hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the RAMS IDEA Lab featuring innovative technology and spaces to inspire students in the areas of innovation, design, engineering, and art. Roseville Area Schools would like to thank the Roseville Area Schools Foundation and the Falcon Heights/Lauderdale Lions Club for their generous donations to the IDEA Lab.


On January 5, 50 Roseville Area High School students who participate in the DECA student organization, competed in the DECA District 2 Career Development Conference. According to advisor Travis Birklid, 28 students qualified for the DECA State Career Development Conference in March!


Congratulations to RAHS gymnastics coaches Mark Curley and Mike Flatten who were inducted into the University of Minnesota Gymnastics Hall of Fame on January 5. Curley and Flatten have coached the Roseville Raiders together for 29 seasons, which includes 14 section titles, 8 state championships, and 3 state runner-ups.


Congratulations to the outstanding Roseville debaters who competed in the Minnesota Section 5 Debate Tournament this weekend. Advancing to the State Tournament are the Varsity policy team of Leona Jacoby and Delia Rossini and Lincoln-Douglas debater Dailey Tubbs (pictured). All three will be competing Friday and Saturday at the University of Minnesota this next weekend. Good luck!


During the school year, staff members from Community Dental Care provide free dental screenings and sealants for students in three Roseville elementary schools. The students learn about how to care for their teeth and their families receive the results of the dental screenings as well as recommendations for additional dental treatment.
