Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Polling locations are based on your residence and may be different than prior elections. To find your polling location, visit or call 651-628-6452. Early voting begins Friday, September 17 and can be done in person or by mail. View a sample ballot.

Early voting in person

Voting early in person is a one-step process. Vote early in person at the Ramsey County Library - Roseville, 2180 N. Hamline Ave, during these hours:

  • Tuesday October 26-Friday October 29, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday October 30, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Monday November 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vote early in person at the Ramsey County Elections Office, 90 Plato Blvd West, Saint Paul, during these hours:

  • Monday-Friday September 17-October 25, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday October 26-Friday October 29, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday October 30, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Monday Nov. 1, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Early voting by mail

Voting by mail is a two-step process: first you mail in an application for an absentee ballot, then you complete and return the ballot once it’s been mailed to you. Be sure to allow enough time for the whole process so the ballot is received by Election Day.

To vote by mail you must first submit an absentee ballot application, which can be downloaded here or found at any school or district office after September 13. After completing the absentee ballot application, return it in one of the following ways:

  • By mail: Ramsey County Elections, PO Box 64098, Saint Paul, MN 55164.
  • By email:
  • By fax: 651-266-2177
  • In person: Bring the application to the Ramsey County Election Office, 90 Plato Blvd. West, Saint Paul, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Once you complete and submit the application as noted on the back, you will receive a ballot by mail with instructions for returning it. Be sure to mail it back so it is received before Election Day.
