  • We are providing child care for elementary-age children of health care professionals, first responders, district educators and other emergency workers to ensure Minnesota’s first line of defense against COVID-19 can stay on the job.
  • School meals are a vital source of nutrition for many students, and we are providing free meals to any child 18 and under during this school closure.

Gifted & Talented Education Services

Challenging Students with Outstanding Abilities

Through Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Services, students who are identified with outstanding abilities are provided services and programming to meet their unique needs. We use a variety of frameworks, curricula, and competitions to support what high ability and gifted/talented students need to be challenged and successful in school. As part of its framework, GATE Services has comprehensive early entrance and grade promotion procedures. The School Board's acceleration policy guides those actions.

PowerPoint Presentations and PDFs

Periodically, we offer sessions regarding the GATE program and about parenting gifted children. Information on these sessions is communicated through GATE newsletters and school newsletters.
