Academic Awards Ceremony Held

More than 400 students have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.67 or higher. They were honored at an Academic Awards ceremony held on Oct. 24. Click 'Read More' to view the event program which includes a list of recipients.

October is College Knowledge Month

     *College Application Assistance in Career Center with Counselors: 10/24 and 10/31, 2:45-4:00 p.m. (for students)

     *FAFSA Workshop: 10/21, 6:00-7:30 p.m., Media Center. College Financial Aid Reps will be available to assist with FAFSA questions. Complete your FAFSA this night! (students/parents). FAFSA opened for the 2020-2021 school year on October 1.

     *Paying for College: On Wednesday, October 23, Mike Branch, Financial Advisor, will share his expertise on ways to effectively pay for college. The session will be in the Media Center from 6:30-8:00 p.m. No registration necessary. (for students/parents)

     *College Application Day: 10/29. Students sign up in Career Center for a time during the day to complete applications in the Media Center. College Reps will be on hand. See the list of Minnesota schools that waive application fees at various times during the month of October. See above for sign up information. (for students)

     *MN Association of Counselors of Color College Fair: 10/31, This fair will be held at RAHS during the school day in the upper gym. 10, 11 and 12 graders will come to the College Fair during the 1:00-2:30 timeframe. (for students)

Third and Fourth graders visit Stages Theater to watch James and the Giant Peach

Little Canada third and fourth graders had the opportunity to enjoy the play James and the Giant Peach at Stages Theater.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach and launches a voyage of gigantic proportions. During their cross-ocean travels, James and the peach’s oversized insect residents encounter hunger, sharks and loads of disagreements, and James must learn to use his quick wit to finally land on New York’s Empire State Building.
