CP Special Assembly February 10

In honor of National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID) we welcome all families to join us as we celebrate the contributions made to and in our community by African Americans. There will be a schoolwide assembly in the Central Park gymnasium Monday, February 10, 10:00am and all grade levels will participate.

CP Winter Conferences

Central Park's Winter Conferences will be held 3:40-7:40pm on Tuesday, January 28, Thursday, January 30 and Thursday, February 6.

Conferences are an excellent way for families and teachers to meet and touch base about students' mid-term progress. We look forward to seeing you!

CP Family Bingo Night January 24

It is almost time for our annual Winter Bingo! Please join us Friday, January 24, 5:30-8:00pm for 10 rounds of bingo and you might win one of many great prizes! Bingo cards start at $0.50 per round, or buy a reusable card for $10 and automatically get enrolled in all of our raffles.  All kids in attendance will get a free raffle ticket for a chance to win even more awesome prizes. Doors open at 5:30pm, and the first round will start at 6:00pm. Pizza, candy and drinks will be for sale at the event.

Foundation awards nearly $55,000 in grants to teachers

CP Picture Retake Day is January 14

Picture Retake Day has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 14. This is an opportunity for students who have not had their picture taken to be photographed, as well as families to have their students' pictures redone. Unsatisfactory photos must accompany your child to retakes.

Families of 6th Graders: RAMS Registration

Monday, January 13, 1:40-2:30pm, Roseville Area Middle School counselor, Julie Gabos, will come to Central Park and present an overview of registration for 7th grade. Registration materials will be handed out at that time. Completed forms should be returned to classroom teachers by Wednesday, January 29. 

CP School Pictures Update

At the last update from Lifetouch, school pictures have been printed but have not yet shipped. Lifetouch apologizes for the inconvenience, and will give each family who ordered photos a $10 coupon toward next year's order. We will continue to keep you posted, and once again thank you for your patience.

CP Hour of Code

December 9-13 is National Computer Science Week and to celebrate, Central Park students will participate in The Hour of Code. This year grades K-2 will be doing Angry Birds Hour of Code; grades 3-4 will try Minecraft: Voyage Aquatic; and grades 5-6 will do Hour of Code Dance Party.  Visit www.code.org to find numerous other coding activities, both digital and "unplugged"!
