CP First Graders Visit Mill City Museum

Thursday, March 30 Mrs.Thome's class, Mrs. Roufs' class and Mrs. Gottfried's first/second grade class will visit the Mill City Museum in Minneapolis.

Lost & Found

Once again the Lost & Found is overflowing! All items will be donated at the end of the school day on April 7 so please send your students to look for missing items before then. Thank you!

CP Annual Talent Show

Friday, March 24, 1:30 PM students will have time to showcase their skills at the annual Talent Show.

Families are welcome to join us. Please enter through the main office, sign in and get a visitor's badge. The performance will take place in the gym. Make sure your camera batteries are charged!


CP PTA Spring Carnival

The Central Park PTA is sponsoring a Spring Carnival on Friday, March 24, 6:00-8:00 PM.

The Spring Fling Carnival features:

* FREE Admission

* Dancing, Bounce House

* Make-and-Take Craft

* Face Painting, Carnival Games and Prizes, Food and Drinks for 1-4 tickets (tickets are 50 cents each)

All children must be accompanied by an adult. No drops-offs!

CP Spirit Week & Food Drive: March 20-24

Student Leadership Council is sponsoring a Food Drive March 20-24 to benefit the RAHS food shelf. Please see the flyer in your student's communication folder or attached to the bulletin for the items highest in need.

In addition, Student Leadership Council is hosting Spirit Week, hoping all students and staff will show their school spirit by participating in the following themes:

Monday, March 20: Backwards Day

Tuesday, March 21: Pajama Day

Wednesday, March 22: Global Day - Wear clothing from around the world, either place you have been or a place you'd like to go.

Thursday, March 23: Dress Your Best

Friday, March 24: "Blue Out"! School Color Day

CP Upcoming Student Concerts

Tuesday, March 14, 2:00 and 6:00 PM, all 5th grade and Mr. Church's 6th grade class will perform their music concert in the Central Park cafeteria. Stay tuned for details for an upcoming concert featuring Mr. Guzman's and Ms. Long's 6th grade classes.

Thursday, March 16, Central Park band and orchestra students will have a concert at Harambee Elementary School, 30 County Road B East, Maplewood, MN 55117.

Please note the following times:

Band concert is at 6:00 PM. Students should arrive at 5:30 PM.

Orchestra concert is at 6:45 PM. Students should arrive at 6:30 PM 

Officer Mike Visits Classroom

Officer Mike of the Roseville Police Department visited Mrs. Sasse's third and fourth grade class. Before reading to the students, he let the students check out his squad car. They even got to take turns sitting in it! Many of the kids said that it was their "dream come true". What a great day!

CP Read-Around-the-Park

Central Park celebrated “I Love to Read” month with classes reading to their buddies each week in February. 

On the afternoon of March 2, Read Across America Day, we will be doing a whole school celebration of reading called “Read Around the Park” where students and their reading buddy will go to different areas of the school and hear stories.  At the end of that time we will gather together to hear Mrs. Berkas read a favorite Dr. Seuss story to us all and then go back to our rooms for cake to celebrate reading. 

Yearbook Order Forms Available

Yearbook order forms are now available. Check Thursday folders and backpacks for order forms that went home. Additional forms are available in the school office.

Yearbook orders are due Friday, March 31.
