Harambee Fourth Graders Sweep Art Contest!

Harambee students took top prizes in the "Journey to the Falls" art contest! Congratulations to fourth graders Precious Moe, Rinoa Vang, Jack Stepan, and Sonia Zia! Engineering in Action!

On April 19, 2 professors and 8 biomedical engineering students from the U of M spent the afternoon in Mrs. Alford's classroom. The 2nd graders asked, "How can I create a helmet that will protect a head?" They were given materials to create a helmet and set to work. It was a very fun afternoon!

Harambee kindergarten students had a special visit from the University of MN Raptor Center. They saw a falcon, owl, and a hawk and they got to see the hawk eat a snack...half of a rat!

Dancing with Heart

Harambee 5th graders  were "Steppin' with Class" this week. These students volunteered to participate in a special evening showcase for Heart of Dance. In Dancing Classrooms, students learn more than ballroom dance steps. They discover all they can be!
