RAMS Blended Learning Information / Town Hall Recording

This Friday, Oct. 23 during STAR, classroom teachers will be guiding RAMS students to register for either Blended Learning or Full-Time Distance Learning when we begin Trimester 2 on December 7. (Full-time distance learning will continue thru the end of Trimester 1, Dec. 3.). Students who are absent from STAR on October 23rd or those students not ready to decide on a learning model will have a 2nd chance to register in STAR on October 27th.

RAMS Town Hall Meeting
On Monday, October 19th at 6:30pm RAMS administrative staff will be hosting a Zoom Town Hall meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to share information about blended learning and the return to school within the building. There will also be discussion around the registration process and how students will register to remain in full distance learning or move to blended learning that starts on December 7th.
A Zoom link to the RAMS Town Hall meeting will be sent out via email the afternoon of Monday, October 19th.
Celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day

Monday, Oct. 12 is Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and across the district we recognize the significant contributions to our society and our schools by American Indians. Working with the Minnesota Humanities Center, we've compiled resources for teachers and families about Indigenous Peoples' Day, including general websites, digital collections, grade-based videos, talks, and even virtual field trips.
Food for students

We are offering meals at no cost to all children 18 and under. We do not require student identification. Students will receive boxes containing five days of breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Families can receive them at curbside pick up any location or sign up to have meals delivered to homes. Click 'Read More' for details.

Completion of the Educational Benefits Form is a critical component of every fall because it allows us to provide Free or Reduced Price meals to students and provides critical funding for educational support at RAMS. Please take the time to fill out an Educational Benefits Form (Free and Reduced Lunch Form). Online forms can be found on the Roseville Web Page. RAMS Schedules

This fall RAMS will be following an A/B schedule for synchronous learning and one day per week will be asynchronous. Student class schedules will be available on Monday August 31, 2020 in Synergy StudentVue and ParentVue. If you have a schedule problem, please complete this link.

Important information about RAMS is located in our Back to School handbook. 7th grade students will receive a printed copy of the handbook in their iPad packet but we encourage you to read it now as it has important and timely communication.
RAMS iPad Pick-up - Were you unable to come?

Our goal is to make sure every RAMS student has the technology they need to begin learning on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 8th. If you were unable to pick-up your child's iPad today, please stop by the main office at RAMS on Thursday, September 3rd between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pm to pick-up your students iPad.
If those times do not work please fill out this form or call the main office at 651-482-5280 to let us know when you will be available to swing by the school to collect your student's iPad.
Please note that RAMS will be closed on Friday, September 4th and Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day weekend holiday.

RAMS VIRTUAL ORIENTATION – Wed, Sept 2
We will be hosting a Virtual Open House Wednesday, September 2, evening. The schedule can be found below. Students and families are welcome to attend Zoom sessions to meet staff, ask questions and get excited about the school year. The links for Zoom will be found on this page will be updated throughout the next week.
5:30-6:00pm – Family sessions with special programming: AVID, Dual Language Immersion, Academy or Gifted and Talented Education
6:00-7:30pm – Open Zoom sessions - Meet The Teacher, Technology Support, Nurse, School Counselor
6:00-6:45pm – Administration Meet & Greet and Questions and Answers (suggested alpha A-L)
