About the Program

Roseville Area Schools is excited to partner with the University of St. Thomas's (UST)Work and Learn Graduate Pathway to launch Roseville Area Schools Innovative of Scholars (RISE) Movement Grow Your Own program!

This program seeks to recruit, prepare, and retain exceptional Roseville Area Schools educators who share similar life experiences that reflect our diverse student population in Roseville Area Schools.

Program Highlights

Eligibility Criteria

  • Low out-of-pocket cost
  • $18,900 towards tuition
  • Additional opportunity for financial scholarships from UST
  • 2 ½ year program with UST. Work and Learn Program.
  • Complete master's degree.
  • Obtain an Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS) teaching license in special education.

 

  • Currently holds a bachelor's degree.
  • Employed at Roseville Area Schools and/or a member of the community.
  • Upon completion of the program, commit to teach as a Special Educator for a period 3 consecutive years.
  • No previous special education teaching license.

 

Definition of a community member:

  • Lives within boundaries of Roseville Area School district
  • Parent of a Roseville Area School student or graduate
  • A graduate of Roseville Area Schools
  • Anyone associated with the district through volunteering
